AB The  proper  use  and  an  understanding  of  aseptic  technique  are  critical  for  the  care  of  patients  in  the  Emergency  Department  (ED).  Aseptic  technique  dovetails  with  prescribed  universal  precautions  and  is  central  to  our  practice.
