Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) overdoses are rarely fatal and typically require only supportive care. The widespread availability of these medications in over-the-counter preparations, and in other products (e.g., ASA in oil of wintergreen, APAP in cough and cold preparations), can lead to both intentional and accidental toxicity.
