Testicular torsion is a clinically diagnosed and time-sensitive emergency. The goal of the Emergency Physician is to suspect the diagnosis, make the diagnosis, and facilitate rapid operative detorsion by a Urologist. Manual detorsion can be attempted while awaiting surgical intervention.
