An analysis of 1412 ED ocular emergencies presenting to a single center identified the four most common condition categories: ocular trauma in 27% (73% of trauma group had corneal abrasions), conjunctivitis in 15%, retinal problems in 3.6%, and glaucoma in 2%.1
