AB For  coma  to  occur,  there  must  be  an  insult  to  both  cerebral  hemispheres  or  to  the  reticular  activating  system.Decorticate  posturing  signifies  dysfunction  of  the  cerebral  hemispheres  with  an  intact  brain  stem.Decerebrate  posturing  signifies  a  lesion  in  the  midbrain.Intussusception  can  have  a  “neurologic”  presentation  ranging  from  lethargy  to  obtundation.
